ICET Syllabus

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has recently published a notice thus announcing the ICET Syllabus 2017. Eligible candidates who will be going to write this entrance test must download the ICET Syllabus in PDF format from the main web portal.

No question in the entrance test will be asked out of the ICET Syllabus. So it is mandatory that candidates should make their preparations as per the announced syllabus and pattern.

ICET Syllabus 2017
Section 1- Syllabus
Graph, Bar Diagram, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram or a Passage is to be Analyzed, Date, Sequences and Series, Analogies of numbers and alphabets, Completion of blank spaces following the pattern in a: b:: c: d relationship, Time and Arrangement Problems (Calendar problems, clock problems, blood-relationships, arrivals, departures and schedules, seating arrangements, symbol and notation, interpretation).

Section 2- Syllabus (Arithmetic Section)
Menstruation, Modular Arithmetic, Percentages, Profit And Loss, Partnership, Pipes and Cisterns, Time, Distance and Work Problems, Laws of Indices, Ratio and Proportion, Surds, Numbers And Divisibility, Ordering, L.C.M. and G.C.D, Rational Numbers, Areas and Volumes.

Algebraic and Geometrical Section Syllabus
Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Motion of a limit and derivative, Plane geometry – lines, Applications - Equation of a line in different forms, Trigonometry - Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometric ratios of standard angles, (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°), Trigonometric identities (sample problems on heights and distances, Polynomials), Remainder theorem and consequences, Linear equations and expressions, Statements, Truth tables, Implication converse and inverse, Tautologies-Sets, Relations and functions, Triangles, Quadrilaterals and Circles, Coordinate geometry

Statistical Ability Syllabus
Frequency distributions, Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviations, Correlation and Simple problems on Probability etc

1.Analytical Ability- 75 Questions
2.Mathematical Ability- 75 Questions
3.Communication ability- 50 Questions
Total Marks: 200
Candidates there will be total 200 questions in the exam containing 1 Mark each.
