Vidyasagar University Distance Education

Vidyasagar University Distance Education is all set to offer the admission to numerous candidates in various UG and PG courses like B.Ed, MBA, B.Sc, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, BLISc, MLISc and Other Courses for the academic year of 2017. Candidates those are willing to get admission in Vidyasagar University Distance Education are required to appear in the entrance exam and must be qualify. 

Seats distribution criteria for Admission 2017:
40% Seats will be reserved for Open Competition in each department 

Candidates belong to other university will have to appear at the Entrance Test. The minimum marks for appearing at the Entrance Test are mentioned here: 

For Arts & Commerce Steams: 
1. 45% marks in Hons. (For Gen. candidates) 
2. 40% marks in Hons. (For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD candidates) 

For Science Stream: 
1. 50% marks in Hons. (For Gen. candidates) 
2. 45% marks in Hons. (for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD candidates) 

Admission Rules and Proceedings: 
1. “NO” age bar in admission in Distance Learning Courses, i.e., admission is open to any person of any age within eligible criteria. 
2. There is no cut-off year for any course in admission. 
3. Admission will be on first come-first serve basis for some courses 
4. Candidates willing to take admission to any course offered by the Directorate need not submit transfer certificate or migration certificate. 
5. All admissions are provisional subject to verification of the required documents. 

Questions will be of MCQ pattern: 
1. Total Marks: 50 
2. Total no. of Questions: 50 
3. Paper Duration: One and a half hour. 
4. Questions paper languages: Paper will be set in English, except in Bengali, Hindi, Sanskrit and Santali 

Vidyasagar University Distance Education Admission 2015 Eligibility Criteria: 

Here we are declaring the eligibility criteria as per the course wise: 
1. For MA: Honours in the respective subject 
2. For M.Com: Honours in Commerce, Accountancy and Marketing 
3. For M.A/M.Sc in Economics: Honours in Economics 
4. For M.Sc.: Honours in the respective subject 
5. For M.Sc in Appl. Mathematics, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Microbiology, Human Physiology, Physics and Zoology: Honours in the relevant subject etc.
